Limelight Project Parade

I have a fun project this month for Limelight Papercrafts project parade… the Limelight Chicks are making wearable art!  A little while ago, I saw washer necklaces on the Splitcoaststamper forums and I just knew I needed to make one!

I used Cosmo Cricket’s Early Bird paper pad and Basic Grey’s Nook and Pantry buttons for this project. The holder is made from some kraft cardstock with an acetate window.  I used a nesti (scalloped rectangle) to cut out the window and then used that cutout to make the matching little card.

The necklace is super easy to make.  Just pick out a washer in the size you like.  Trace the washer on your favorite paper and cut out.  I used some Glossy Accents to glue the paper to the washer.  Let it dry for a bit.  Then take the Glossy Accents and cover the entire top of the washer with a thick layer.  Let it dry overnight.  Once dry, use your favorite chain or cording to create the necklace.

I can’t wait to see what the rest of the Chicks have made.  Make sure you visit them too!
