{2.17.2011} no frills scallops

I have a little tutorial to share with you today.
I’m blogging at the Ippity blog today and thought I would share it here as well.

Remember the days when you didn’t have LOTS and LOTS of scrapbooking gadgets???
You may be at that stage, so I thought I would share an easy way to add some scallops to your projects without all those fancy border punches or scissors.

Remember Lisa H’s card from Sunday?  I’ll show you how I did the pink scallop for her card.

And how I added them to this circle card in the video below.

I am submitting BOTH cards to the Paper Piecing Challenge in the Moxie Fab World.  I LOVE paper piecing, it is one of my favorite techniques.

stamps: Book it, Dots for Sure, House a Home, How you Doin’ {Ippity}
patterned paper: Crate Paper
punches: 3/4 inch circle, notebook punch {stampin’ up}
tools: corner rounder

Sunshine Card

stamps: Quotes a la Happy {Ippity}
patterned paper: Crate Paper
punches: 1 inch circle
other: white gel pen, black pen
