Hello August…

Happy Saturday! I’m sharing a lovely little card today with a fun little die cutting technique using the July 2020 Unity Stamp Company sentiment kit – Aging Gorgeously.

The Details

I love the gorgeous poppy image in this kit. You can use it in so many ways. For this card, I stamped it three times on a die-cut panel. Two on the left side and on in the upper right.

Then I pulled out the brand new Speckled Egg Distress Oxide ink to stamp the words in the background, add some splatters, and colored in the flowers just a bit. I love the combo of the kraft, black and blue. So soft and pretty.

Next, I die-cut a smaller rectangle out of the floral panel once the ink was dry. I glued the outer rectangle directly down on the card front and then popped the center one up with foam adhesive. I love the dimension this creates. Such a fun illusion with the stamped image.

Before I attached the middle panel, I wrapped some string around it and tied it in a bow. I popped the perfect birthday sentiment up right above the bow as well. Just added the perfect little touch, don’t you think?
