2 Simple Birthday Cards | Stamping and Die Cutting

I’m back using some of the newest Winnie The Pooh stamps from Unity Stamp Company. I can’t get enough of these sweet 100 Acre Woods character sets. But once you have these fabulous images colored in, do you wonder what to do with them? Well, I have two layout ideas for you using some dies to feature our favorite little Pooh Bear.

The Cards

The Details

Again, I can’t help but turn the into birthday cards. And really, who doesn’t always need a birthday card. Haha. That was simply done by stamping the balloon onto the branch that Pooh is working his way through all his honey pots. Seems like a party to me.

I colored Pooh and his honey pots with Copic markers. I didn’t record that process, but if you are interested, let me know. I can always do a quick video to share. Otherwise, here is the marker list so you can recreate the same scene.

Pooh: Y11, Y15, Y21
Honey Pots: BG11, BG13, RV21, RV23, R08, R29, V12, V15, YG03, YG13
Tree limb: E53, E57, E59
Balloon: R08, R29 and BG000, BG11, BG13
Background: BG000, 0
Shading: N1

Next, come all the die cuts. Unity makes it easy with the Scallops & Rectangles nesting die set and the Make a Tag die set. I love the way they layer a straight cut over a scallop cut. I combined them for some easy layouts to feature the colored Pooh panels. Unity also has a must-have Falling Heart background die. I designed it with a dual purpose. Not only can you have a fabulous heart cutout background but you get all these little hearts for embellishments! Little hearts are my absolute favorite to add to cards.

I die cut a bunch of white little hearts and picked 3 for each card. Next, I grabbed my Copic markers to color them to match. How amazing is that? I didn’t have to hunt through my stash to find the perfect cardstock or enamel hearts, I created them myself.
