8.8.2010 – Ippity Sneak Day 1

Today is the day… we finally get to see some sneak peeks for the new Ippity!!!

The {ippity} Summer 2010 release is coming on Thursday, but we get to do some sneaky peeks everyday until then.
I love sneak peeks.

Psst: Make sure you leave a comment every day on each of the DT member’s blogs… there might be a prize involved. Just sayin’.

DAY ONE

Life is the Journey
House A Home
Thoughts from the Past

{supplies: cs – Bazzill Basics; pp – Early Bird (Cosmo Cricket), Basics (Basic Grey); stamps – Ippity; ink – Colorbox; die cuts – Peony (Spellbinders); other – white gel pen, string, Corner Chomper}

I’m using the new House a Home stamp set for this welcome home card. My hubby is on a very LONG trip out of town and I wanted a card to welcome him home. I can’t wait till you see all the images in this set… it has become one of my favorites!  The cutout shape behind the house is actually a scrap leftover from another card.  I thought, “how cool to use the negative to highlight the cute little house”.  Love it when I use my scraps.

{supplies: cs – Bazzill Basics; ; stamps – Ippity; ink – Versafine, Versamark; die cut – card base (Silhouette); punche – heart, bird (Martha Stewart); other – string, buttons (Autumn Leaves)}

For my second card, I am using the Life is a Journey and Moon Beam and Heart Strings (Ippity Winter 2010) stamp sets.  The base of the card was cut out using a Silhouette cutting file.  I embossed the stamped image to make it pop since it is such a simple little card.  The circle with the heart and bird is popped up too.

Lisa H. is up next with a super peek for you.

      Yip, I do, I’m just really lazy and don’t break it out very often. But Eva and Karen had me so jealous of their fabulous card bases that I got off my tuchas to get some of my own. 🙂

    Lisa, these two card creations are STUNNING! I love that you were “green” and used the negative space of a punched image – and it WORKS fabulously! And one of my favorite things to do is stamp in black and and a punch of one color – just delightful! Thanks so much for sharing with us!
