{11.14.2011} pretty as a peacock

Paper Smooches has put up their new SPARKS challenge.
Check out this awesome inspiration:

I love this fabulous scarf and couldn’t wait to create this card.

This peacock is the reason I wanted the My Peeps set.  Isn’t he so adorable and so pretty!  Once I saw the apple pattern in the scarf, I couldn’t wait to break him out and color him up.

I colored the peacock and feathers with Copic markers.  Then added a little glitter glue to the center of the feathers.  I only applied a little liquid glue to the tip of the feather so the other end would have some lift.  This is a great way to add dimension without the bulk of foam adhesive.  I thought about adding a sentiment but in the end I had to leave it blank.   When I had finished applying all the feathers, I just couldn’t cover up any of them up.

I agree . . . no sentiment was the way to go. He’s so fantastic he needs to have the spotlight all to himself! LOVE how his feather extend off of the card!!!
