Warm Fall Coffee Greetings…

Unity Stamp Company has released this super cute little fall travel cup. As you might be aware, coffee is my jam. It may be my favorite, but tea and hot cocoa have a safe spot in my heart as well. And all of these favorite things can be hidden in this little travel cup. I love that it isn’t specific to coffee. I had lots of fun doing some easy watercolor with Distress Inks and a bit of foiling as well. I’ll share my tip on how I foiled with rubber stamps below.

The Details

I’m loving this little cup of fall yumminess from Warm Fall Hugs. For foiling, you must have some sort of medium that will take to reactive foil. My two favorite methods include using rubber stamps with Heidi Swapp Toner Ink or using a printed image from a laser printer. I get a better result using the laser printer but how do you do that with rubber stamps? I’ll share my workaround.

First, stamp out your images as you would like them to look on your card. Then make a copy or scan them into your computer. I do a bit of photo editing if I need to flip the image or to make the black lines darker. Once I’m happy with that, I print it out on cardstock using my laser printer. I have an older Brother laser printer with a copy function. Laser printers use toner ink that will react with foil in a laminator. There are other ways to do this but I generally get the best result with this method and that is what I used today.

Before I foiled, I watercolored the image with Distress Inks. Once the foiling was done, I die-cut that panel and popped it up with some foam adhesive.

Last, I die cut the happy sentiment 3 times with white cardstock and 1 time with gold foil card stock. Layered and glued them together and adhered them to the front of my card. All I needed was to stamp the birthday sentiment and pop it up as well. Kinda diggin’ how it all came together. How about you?

Thanks for joining me today. I hope you are inspired by today’s project.
