2 Holiday Cards with 1 Stamp Set

I’m all about the vintage grunge look today. This new poinsettia arrival from Unity Stamp Company is so beautiful. I combined some pattern paper and simple inky techniques for 2 holiday cards using just 1 beautiful stamp set.

2 for 1 Poinsettia

The Poinsettia Poetry stamp set by Unity Stamp Company is just stunning! It has all the mixed media look built into it with lots of beautiful text and sheet music. For this card, I wanted to get a 2 for 1 by cutting that big flower in half.

I stamped the poinsettia on the blue patterned paper and then grunged it up. First, I ink smooshed with Broken China. Let that dry and fussy cut them out. Then, I ink blended over the top with more Broken China and Vintage Photo. Crumpled it up a little and cut it in half.

For the card base, I layered up some ink blended pattern paper and gave the blue paper a few ink splatters with Broken China and gold watercolor paint. Assembled everything together and finished it off with a few white splatters and Bright Gold Nuvo Drops.

All About That Grunge

This card is so simple. I stamped the poinsettia three times around the edge of the pattern paper from Rustic Whispers. Die cut it down, added some ink blending, and white and gold watercolor splatters.

The sentiment is stamped on the blue pattern paper and die cut with the scalloped circle dies. Gave that a bit of grunge ink blending. Then I assembled all the layers on the card base adding a torn piece of vellum, a little washi, and a string bow.
