Ink Smooshing Technique: Getting INKY with my Chickies!

Lost Without You

Do you have a chick tribe? I’d be lost without mine. My ride or die girls are always by my side, each one bringing a different style to the tribe. They make me laugh, cry, and feel so very loved. This funny little tribe is going to be used for lots of cards for my chicks.

Ink Smooshing Technique

The ink smooshing technique is when you smoosh an ink pad down onto a slick surface and spritz it with water to loosen it up. Then you can either smoosh your paper directly into that ink or use a piece of acetate or an acrylic block to pick that ink up and smoosh it over your stamped image. I love this technique for easy coloring.

Bonus Tip: I used the Scalloped & Stitched sentiment dies to mat my sentiment. That purple mat was cut with the coordinating scalloped rectangle. I didn’t want the scallops because they covered up too much of my pretty chicks. So I trimmed them off. Now we have even more die cut options with that simple tip.
