Masked Hot Foil STUNNER with a Video

I have some exciting news to share! After my previous oopsie, I decided to give another try to the beautiful sparkling star hot plate.

Unity Stamp Company has recently launched a fantastic new stamp set that features a lady who deserves to shine. This time, I’m going to attempt masked hot foiling. I’m not sure if it’s a thing, but I’m going to be making it my thing from now on!

Masked Hot Foil Stunner

Oh my goodness! Isn’t this lady divine? Don’t you just love her spunk and style? I felt that she deserved something as fabulous as she is, so I decided to go bold and flashy.

I used my favorite medium, Distress Inks, to watercolor this lady. The list of colors I used is provided below. I find these inks to be extremely versatile and easy to work with. Not only can I use them for watercoloring, but I can also use the same colors for techniques that match perfectly.

Distress Ink: Tattered Rose, Antique Linen, Tea Dye, Vintage Photo, Iced Spruce, Salvaged Patina, Peacock Feathers, Wilted Violet, Picked Raspberries

Once she was dry, I created a bold ink blend with Spun Sugar, Worn Lipstick, and Picked Raspberry. Next up was the masked foiling with the star hot plate. I’m tickled with the result. Check out the video to see it in action.

Finally, she just needed a fun sentiment to complete the card.
