Vintage Pine Christmas Card with Easy Ink Blending

Today’s card is all about those wintery Christmas feels. I’m using the new Winter Awaits stamp set by Unity Stamp Company with some easy ink blend coloring to create this winter pines Christmas card.

The Card

The Details

The hint of greenery from Winter Awaits peeking in from the top and bottom of the card reminds me of a Christmas tree. I stamped those first and then ink blended with Bundled Sage, Peeled Paint, and Gathered Twigs. The coloring came together so easily. For a hint of text, I stamped A Little Christmas Carol over the top in the two opposite corners. Then, I die cut the layers using my favorite scallop and stitched rectangle dies.

I wanted the die cut sentiment to be the real focal point for this card so I popped it up over a die cut scallop circle of vellum. It framed the sentiment and pinecones perfectly while little letting a hint of that background peek thru.
